Ratnesh Kashyap

Ratnesh Kashyap, son of highly respected police officer of Indian Police Service, born on 11 Feb. 1 945, completed his B.Sc. from University of Rajasthan in 196 4 and a Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Allahabad in 1968. He is a Fellow of Institute of Engineers. He holds a Diploma in Development Finance from Tokyo, Japan under the auspices of Japan Development Bank. He was a keen sportsman in his student life where he represented the University teams in Table Tennis and Cricket.

Ratnesh Kashyap started his professional career with HINDALCO (5 years) and then served Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO) in Senior Management position for 17 years. From 1990-1997 he was joint Managing Director of a large Public Limited Textile Company having 3 Mills and 3500 employees. In1997 he set up his own Company for International Marketing, mainly exports of Natural Stones.

Ratnesh Kashyap also runs a professional Consulting Company. His specializations are Technology and Management Consultancy Contracts. For these, he is considered a Specialist at National level and invited regularly as visiting faculty in India and abroad. He also specializes in rehabilitation of Sick Units and Mergers & Acquisitions of large sector Companies.

Ratnesh joined Rotary Club Jaipur South in 1992 where he held almost all the responsibilities such as Committee Chair, Director, Secretary, Vice President and President. He was Assistant Governor in 2005-06 and was District Conference Chairman in 2006-07. He was adjudged outstanding Club President as well as Best Assistant Governor. He is recipient of 4 Avenues of Service Award. Ratnesh is a life member of Water and Sanitation Rotary Action Group (WASRAG)

Leadership in other Organizations:
  • Served at National Governing Board of Indian Junior Chamber as Vice President in 1978. Was President of Jaipur Junior Chamber in 1976 which at that time had more than 300 members? Ratnesh is an Honorary Member of Tokyo Junior Chamber.
  • Ratnesh was National level Trainer for 10 years during which he conducted more than 100 Training Programmes in the field of Personality Development, Public Speaking, Time Management and Human Relations.
  • Associated with CLL Actively and has been an elected member of Rajasthan State Council of CLL for last 11 years continuously. On CLL platform he has chaired national level seminars on HR, Economic, Commercial and Agriculture Subjects.
  • Has been associated with international Development Law Organization, Rome firstly, as Alumni and then as visiting faculty.
  • A Governing Board member of Centre for Development of Stones, he has been a member of Society for international Development, Rome, All India Granites and Stones Association, Rambagh Golf Club and Jaipur Club.
 
Other Achievements:
  • Ratnesh was the first recipient out of Public Sector Units of Rajasthan of Republic Day Award for Meritorious Service in 1988.
  • In 1999, Hindustan Times set up a panel of Judges to evaluate 10 best managed Companies and their CEOs in Rajasthan. Ratnesh Kashyap and his Company SRSL international Pvt. Limited were selected for this recognition.
  • As a trainer, he conducted programmes for IIMs, IITs and also Legislators.
  • In 2002, BBC Television selected Ratnesh Kashyap and his Company to do a feature on Stone industry in Rajasthan. it was taken through a journey from Mines to Artisans, quality control, packing and then in creating a miniature Palace Garden in Sandstones, which was displayed at prestigious Royal Hampton Court Show in U . K. BBC featured it prominently live for 3 days and Ratnesh Kashyap was interviewed live by the BBC.
  • On 6 August 2007, he was selected as one of the 20 Super Achievers on All India level by prestigious Bharat Nirman Organization.
  • He has served, from time to time on the board of more than 40 Public Limited Companies.

Family:

He is married to Rashi and they have two daughters Sonal and Nishtha, both happily married. Ratnesh and Rashi are proud grandparents of Noor, Tejaswi and Mihir.
