The fourth object of Rotary is the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business people and professional persons united in the ideal of service. It is the vision of Rotary. International Service become an integral part of Rotary movement with 1921 RI Convention. The Rotary Foundation started taking up programmers of universal importance, adding emphasis to the international service. Through international service Rotarians should look beyond their local community sharing expertise and material suppot with communities around the world. As per the MOP "International Service comprises of all things that a Rotarian can do to advance 'International Understanding, Goodwill and peace' by getting acquainted with people of other countries, their cultures, customs, accomplishments, aspiration, problems through personal contacts, travel and attendance at conventions, through reading and correspondence and through cooperation in all club activities and projects' including those of The Rotary Foundation that will help people in the other lands." It is Rotary's International Service that makes it global in true since and enhances its purpose multifold.
